Yeovil Town's on loan midfielder Gavin Williams has said that he will not be looking to make excuses about the Stockport County pitch. The Welshman has said that the Glovers need to be 'professional' in the way that they cope with the turf at Edgeley Park that in the past 12-18 months has become a visible example of the financial plight of the Hatters.
If last season's 0-0 draw is anything to go by, that is likely to make Yeovil's passing game somewhat hard to come by. Williams has told BBC Somerset that he does not have first hand experience of the pitch to know whether it lives up to its reputation, but believes that the team just need to get on with it:
"I've seen the pitch on TV, although I'm not sure how bad it is when you get up there. It doesn't look the best, but you've just got to be professional and grind out the right result. I don't think it's going to be a pretty football game. But the main thing is that it is a massive game for us and we've got to get something from it."
