Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton has warned his side not to let tomorrow's opponents Norwich City use his side as a means to re-establish form in front of their home fans. The League One leaders are five points clear at the top, but have stuttered slightly in their last two home matches - losing to Southampton and needing a last minute goal to come from behind and beat Southend United.
Earlier in the season, Norwich inflicted a 0-4 home defeat in the Carling Cup as a reaction to their shock opening day 7-1 defeat, and Skiverton has said he doesn't want to see the Canaries using Yeovil as a springboard to regain their home dominance at Carrow Road:
"It's a really tough game for us. It could be an intimidating atmosphere but it's one in which the boys are really relishing going. We're on the back of two really good results. I think Norwich's form at home has not been the greatest. They've still been winning but not as well as they had done earlier in the season. We've got to make sure that they don't use Yeovil as a little bit of a game for Yeovil to find their form and hit us for a big score."
Despite this being Norwich's first season at League One level for 50 years, their side still holds plenty of familiar names, including big target man Grant Holt, who is their top scorer with 25 goals this season, including a hat-trick at Huish Park in that Carling Cup win. However, Skiverton singled out winger and midfield playmaker Wes Hoolahan, who played a pivotal role in helping Blackpool win the League One Play-Off Final against Yeovil, as being Norwich's main danger man:
"He (Hoolahan) does pick up the ball between our midfielders and the defenders and he'll run at you. He's got that final pass, and he's a little bit like what we've got with Ryan Mason when Ryan plays. He's got that killer pass that puts people in; he's got that final ball. Then when you've got someone like (Grant) Holt coming in on the end of it - he just scores goals, and so does (Chris) Martin. So they've got real strengths, but we've got to negate them, and we've also got to take them down the other end and we've got to get into those sort of areas and cause them problems there."
