Yeovil Town have had their Somerset Premier Cup match for next Tuesday postponed. Rather oddly, the game against Bishop Sutton has been called off because of expectations that the pitch will be unsuitable for play - even though the club have still yet to play their League One match against Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday.
The club say that next Tuesday's match has been called off "due to the anticipated bad weather over the weekend and the expected condition the match (sic) is likely to be in".
The Somerset FA give a new date for the fixture as March 23rd 2010, with a 7.45p.m. kick-off. This is fairly convenient for the Glovers given that it slots into the midweek after the home match against Bristol Rovers but in the lead-up to the weekend when they were due to play Carlisle United, but is now a blank weekend. Thus there are currently no first team commitments during that fortnight.
