Former Yeovil Town loan winger Andros Townsend will have surprised a few people in East London by agreeing a loan deal with Milton Keynes Dons until the end of this season, having spent a fortnight with parent club Tottenham Hotspur.
With League One rivals Leyton Orient having been under the impression this week that Townsend was staying at White Hart Lane, there's probably going to be a few slightly narked people at Brisbane Road, with the 18 year old immediately heading out to Buckinghamshire for the next four months.
Dons assistant manager Karl Robinson has already seen the left-winger up at close quarters and says he knows what to expect:
"Andros is probably the best player we have played against this season. He was outstanding in both games against Orient. He's only young so we can't expect too much of him every week, but we'll do our best to aid his footballing education."
Townsend, who spent the latter part of the 2008-09 season on loan at Huish Park, will make his second visit to South Somerset this season, on Saturday 27th February, having already had a heavy impact in the August 2008 3-3 draw, during his loan period with Leyton Orient.
