Officials for Yeovil Town's trip to Leeds United this coming Saturday have been announced. The man in charge of refereeing the game will be Andy Haines (Tyne and Wear). Mr Haines is in his third season as a Football League official, and with him being up in the North-East, it's no surprise to find that we've not had Mr Haines too many times.
Oddly enough the last time we saw him was for last season's 4-0 defeat at the hands of Leeds United. He didn't have too much of a bad game, and certainly didn't affect the final result, but Glovers boss Terry Skiverton wasn't totally happy with Mr Haines' performance, citing his side's two bookings as part of his post-match views on the official.
Other than that night, aside from a pre-season friendly against Plymouth Argyle and a number of occasions as an assistant referee, his one other time in the middle came in January 2008 for a 2-2 draw at Port Vale. We had no major complaints about him on the night.
Mr Haines will be assisted by Gary Beswick (County Durham) and Billy Khatib (Tyne and Wear). The Fourth Official will be Jason Tyas (West Yorkshire).
