Yeovil Town defender Steven Caulker has made it into the Football League's Team of the Week for League One. The on-loan Tottenham Hotspur player has been in great form in the past couple of weeks in a consistent partnership with Terrell Forbes and that saw him finish runner-up in our September 2009 Player of the Month vote.
Steven becomes Yeovil's 6th nomination into the Football League's Team of the Week, and given that he has been part of a defence that has kept three clean sheets in a row, with 0-0 draws at Oldham Athletic and Millwall and a 2-0 win over Brentford this is a highly deserved nomination.
Left-winger Andy Welsh was included in the League Paper's Team of the Week in yesterday's newspaper. The Football League's version is as shown below:
Ben Williams (Colchester)
John White (Colchester), Steven Caulker (Yeovil Town), Gary Doherty (Norwich), Andy Frampton (Millwall)
James Dunne (Exeter), Ryan Harley (Exeter), James Henry (Millwall), Matthew Robson (Carlisle)
Alex Revell (Swindon), Grant Holt (Norwich).
The League Paper's version of the team is as follows:
Willy Gueret (MK Dons), Danny Bath (Colchester United), Tamika Mkandawire (Leyton Orient), Andy Frampton (Millwall), Radhi Jaidi (Southampton), James Henry (Millwall), Jon-Paul McGovern (Swindon Town), Francis Laurent (Southend United), Andy Welsh (Yeovil Town) Scott McGleish (Leyton Orient) Grant Holt (Norwich City).
