On loan Swansea City midfielder Shaun MacDonald has as expected been called up into the Welsh Under 21 international squad. MacDonald will represent Wales against Bosnia-Herzegovina in a match that will be played at the Racecourse, Wrexham on Saturday 10th October 2009. Kick off is at 12.45p.m.
The news means that MacDonald will definitely be added to the long list of loan players who will be absent for the October 10th match against Brighton and Hove Albion, which currently includes defender Steven Caulker and midfielder/striker Ryan Mason and may include striker Jonathan Obika if England Under 20s reach the Quarter-Finals of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. New loan signing Craig Davies is also ruled out of that game at the request of his parent club Brighton.
