Team captain Stefan Stam's injury has been confirmed as a hamstring problem. The club report that he is likely to be out for around 10 days, thus missing Saturday's home fixture with Leyton Orient. However, he should be fit to return for the following weekend's trip to Huddersfield Town.
Stam lasted just 17 minutes last night but appeared to pick up his injury some while before that, and perhaps with the glorious benefit of hindsight should have been off the field before he scored his own goal in the 14th minute. His place will be taken by Terrell Forbes, and it would be no surprise if manager Terry Skiverton names himself in the first team squad, with the centre-back next in the pecking order should Caulker or Forbes not last through Saturday's fixture for any reason.
