Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton admits that he has concerns about a growing pattern in Yeovil's performances of late. The Glovers drew 1-1 with Exeter City last night, but for the second match running they needed to compensate for a poor first half performance and make tactical changes to change the pattern of the match. Exactly the same pattern of play was experienced on Saturday against Colchester United and Skivo told the Western Morning News that he was fed up with repeating himself for the second match running:
"It seems like I am repeating myself again. I was really upset with the first half performance again. I am telling people to do a job and they aren't doing it, so I am really angry after that game. People started to get the idea in the second half and in the end, the adjustments that we had to make were working in our favour. We got a little bit tighter to them in midfield and created a few opportunities. On another day we may well have snatched a victory, but in the end, I am happy to walk away with a point."
Skiverton said that he felt that, as with the Colchester game, once the Glovers got past the half time break that they began to do a lot of the things he wanted his side to do, but told BBC Somerset that was no good if the team were already behind by the time they started playing:
"In the second half performance, we showed all the stuff that I know we have got. We've got character in the team and we showed that on Saturday. We've got guts and determination and we showed that. I'm really pleased with the second half performance again, but if we don't go in one goal behind and don't play like that (in the first half) then we might be coming away with a 1-0 victory. We need to sit down and have a chat and worry about how we start games."
