Efetobore Sodje talked to the press after scoring the winner in the 2-1 victory over high-flying Barnsley at Huish Park on Saturday 19th December 2005.
Qu: You must be delighted to have scored the winner with your head this afternoon for your third goal for Yeovil.
ES: I was grateful for the goal because for the last two weeks I was thinking am I going to score before the end of the year and thankfully I got my goal today and it was a winner - I was happy with that.
Qu: It was a much better second half and was launched by a cracking strike by David Poole seconds into the second half.
ES: The manager had a few words with us in the changing room telling us that we were doing well but he wanted us to step it up. He was not shouting but he gave us a few words. We respect him and he believes in us.
Qu: How much respect was there for Barnsley today as they are or were the in-form team in this division?
ES: We respected them for that as it is not easy to go on a sequence like that and not to lose.
Qu: There were some regulars left out of the starting eleven today.
ES: The manager has one policy which is that he won’t change a winning side and it doesn’t matter who is out or who is in, and of course we won again today.
Qu: You can’t enjoy your Christmas just yet as you have got a big local derby to contest first.
ES: We are going to have to fight for that on Friday. We definitely have to win as the league is so tight. We can’t afford to drop any points especially because we are at home.
