9 February 2007 : February Customer Charter Meeting
The following is a summary of the February 2007 Customer Charter Meeting:

Supporters' representatives and club officials met at Huish Park on Tuesday night for a lively Customer Charter meeting, with many issues discussed.

Starting off, the minutes from the previous meeting were approved, with John Fry also discussing his plans to utilise the Huish Park site on a seven-day basis.

Moving on, the proposed season ticket prices for next season were outlined.

With the club presently sitting in a play-off position, the club have made consideration for both League One and the Championship.

At present it is suggested that prices remain unchanged if the club stay in the present division, with a small increase proposed if the club are promoted, although prices may be frozen in this case too.

It was also proposed that season tickets sold before the 30th of June 2007 will be discounted, with a family season ticket and a mini (Eight match) ticket also to be introduced.

John Fry was quick to stress that these prices are only proposed at present, with final approval yet to be made.

John said that the club are looking to increase attendances next season, and as well as continuing to utilise its present supporter base it intends to promote itself further into Somerset, Dorset and Devon.

This will be done by projecting the club in the press as well as rolling out to schools and businesses.

This led John onto talking about the club's plans for the development of the Football In The Community Scheme, which he said would be linked into the future development of the Huish Park site and a Youth Academy later on.

The next item on the agenda was the new central database (CRM) that the club is now using.

Explaining that the system has been designed specifically for the promotion of football clubs, John said that club are now starting to target specific markets in order to promote the club and its products.

The system will also allow the club to eventually set up a supporter membership scheme.John feels that such a scheme is still premature, but a distinct possibility for the future.

Dave Linney then told those present that the club will be introducing a new 'Home' strip next season.

Though not revealing the design of the new shirt, Dave did assure everyone that it would be showcased by the players at the last home game of the season, with it being available for sale soon after.

At this point supporters suggested that the club should be promoting itself better, projecting its image throughout the county through the success of the team on the field.

It was suggested that the Media Department should email copies of match reports to newspapers throughout Somerset.John Fry thought this a good idea, asking the Media Department to look into the possibility.

Moving on, the subject of fixture flyers was discussed, with the club saying that these are now being produced to promote forthcoming games.

However, it was suggested that the distribution of these was not yet good enough, with the club promising to look into increasing their circulation.

Rod Hallett then brought up the subject of what he feels is poor service in the VP Lounge on match days. The club said that they would look into this, and at the concern of the other supporters at the increasing queues at the catering bars in the rest of the stadium on match days.

John Fry next discussed his proposals for the development of Huish Park, saying that he is working with partners and consultants to develop the site into a community Sports Village, to become part of the 'Vision Of Yeovil' development.

The centrepiece would obviously be an extended stadium of a capacity of either 12,000 or 18,000, incorporating a large restaurant, corporate hospitality and other facilities expected of a League One or Championship club.

The Club anticipate that plans for this will be finalised by July this year, with it hoped to include the development of the Yeovil College Stand and existing away end, as well as the building of a supporters' bar.

It is hoped that the bar, which will be funded by a brewery will be built this summer, with the Vice Presidents Lounge refurbished too, as well as hopefully improvements made to toilets and catering outlets within the stadium.

The disabled representative Hazel Ford next talked about the disabled supporters viewing platform, saying that a raffle would take place to choose which supporters would be able to us the facility for the rest of the season.

She did however voice her concern over how slippery the floor is on the platform. She was assured that the club would look into the matter straight away.

Finishing off, 'other business' was discussed with the Coca-Cola, Thomas Cook promotions talked about, as well as the club savers account.

Dave Lilly then aired his views on errors in he match day programme, suggesting that the club should take more care in avoiding them.

John Fry said that he would talk to the Media Manager about improvement to this service.
