On Monday 21st March, Yeovil Town Football Club announced their intentions to develop a retail park to the north of the stadium and a 3,500 capacity stand at that end of Huish Park.

The plans have been well received by supporters and the following day, Tuesday 22nd March, Yeovil Town chairman John Fry spoke at great length to the press about the future developments and the partnership with property developers CDS, headed by Mr Chris Dawson.

On Wednesday, both the club and the Western Gazette released the exclusive, first artist impressions of what the retail park and the "new" Huish Park may look like once development has been completed.

Yeovil Town chief executive Martyn Starnes then met the supporters groups directly associated to the club to address them personally. Representatives of the Green & White Supporters Club, The Disabled Supporters Association and the Vice Presidents were all invited to the club to discuss the developments in further detail.

Yeovil Town Football Club are keen to involve as many supporters groups as possible in the initial discussion stage of this development. It is anticipated that in the very near future, those supporters groups that have not already been spoken to by the club will be contacted and invited into the club in order that extended talks can take place ahead of what promises to be an exciting and challenging period in the club's future.

Dialogue is continuing all the time and will continue over the next few months as this exciting development potentially takes shape. The club will endeavour to keep its loyal supporters as informed as is possible bearing in mind possible issues of confidentiality and it is hoped that further such communication will continue through the official website and the local and national media.
