22 December 2011 : Update Bulletin No.1
WWOYTB is hoping as a supporters' collective to pave the way to address issues in a way that will have the best impact. The important thing was to start a process, and now we have done that it is important to keep it moving. To keep people updated we shall continue to use Twitter and Facebook, and now also by update bulletins here on Ciderspace of which this is the first.

The WWOYTB Survey No.1 results and analysis are almost ready. Thank you for your patience, we of course had expected to get it done earlier so we offer our apologies for the delay.

We kept the survey open longer because local press had intended to publicise the survey, but unfortunately this chance was withdrawn very close to the expected publication date. In an attempt to offset the lost chance of publicity, we kept it open for much longer than we had envisaged for an extension period. With that running into the rush of things to do before Christmas, collation and analysis have also been slowed down. We are confident that we can avoid future delay and keep things positively moving forward now that we have made the first step, and acknowledge we need to reach out beyond those that read internet sources.

WWOYTB had been concerned about the club's proposed investment from Blue Sky International long before their deal with Port Vale collapsed into farce, and is concerned at the lack of comment on events at Port Vale from the club and from our local press.

As for the club's latest plans to develop the ground, WWOYTB carried out an appraisal which included a detailed report and conclusion from Tony Elbourn who attended the Exhibition. The Range supremo Chris Dawson is still involved. Mr Dawson is no doubt involved in a number of development projects, one of which has recently been in the news because he is suing another party involved in that project in a civil action that will reach a conclusion next year.

What's next for Yeovil Town?

The recent exhibition stated that the club are scheduled to submit plans to South Somerset District Council during December 2011 for the Food Store project. The Blue Sky International project did not have a date attached to it, so as yet we don't know when we'll next see movement on any pitches that might replace that top land if it is sold.

What's next for WWOYTB?

Priority number one will be to complete the analysis of the first survey, and you'll see the results of that during the Christmas holiday period. Once that is done, we will conduct a second survey specifically looking at attendance habits at Huish Park; something we left well alone on the first survey, although there is a little overlap with things like ticketing.

We will also continue to monitor the Food Store project, along with the situation regarding Blue Sky International, in terms of how it affects Port Vale and ourselves. Finally, provided there is compelling support for it to happen, we will look into whether a formally constituted independent supporters organisation would benefit supporters, and if so what options there are out there.

And Finally ...

With there being just a couple of days before we reach Christmas Day, we'd like to wish supporters a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hopefully we will bump into some of you at the three holiday games.
