17/11/2011 : WWOYTB : Food Store Exhibition
17 November 2011 : Food Store Exhibition
Most supporters will be aware that Yeovil Town are planning to hold a series of exhibition days, displaying their plans for land development to the north side of Huish Park. The three days chosen will see the club display plans and information associated with a food store due to be located behind the away end.

The information given out on this project, which is intended to also provide a new stand at the Copse Road end of the ground, has not always been clear to us, and we know from supporters on the Green Room II forum and on Twitter have raised similar questions about this and previous information given out on this subject.

We're hoping to send at least one supporter from the WWOYTB collective across to Huish Park to view the exhibition and ask a few questions. However, we're also aware that with the first team being all the way up in Hartlepool that weekend, and it being in the run up to Christmas, that a number of supporters will find the dates chosen for the exhibition to be impractical.

We'd therefore welcome any supporters reading this who can't get to the exhibition to send us any questions, issues or concerns they may have, and we'll try to roll them into our own questions. To save you some trouble on the more obvious questions, here are some of our immediate thoughts:

1. What role, if any, does Chris Dawson and The Range play in the food store development? Is he still involved, if so how?
2. Is the food store the only planned development on that land, or are other businesses planned? If others how much land will the food store take up?
3. The exhibition is apparently just for the Retail Park project. What is the status of the plans for the Copse Road Stand development?
4. When will the plans for the Retail Park and Copse Road Stand be formally submitted to South Somerset District Council?
5. Are the club selling the Retail Park land? Or is it being rented/leased?
6. Which Yeovil Town company will directly financially benefit from the agreement?
7. Where will the first team train once development starts?

If you have any additional questions that you think WWOYTB should be asking (we'll probably have more by that weekend) and you can't get to the exhibition, send your thoughts via the link below. All questions will be treated in confidence. We obviously can't guarantee we'll get answers to everything, but in terms of what we can feedback on, we'll do so a few days after the event.

I was wondering could you ask what the clubs plans are for supporter parking? If the majority of parking is to remain on the main carpark East of the Screwfix Community stand, do the club plan to make a new entrance to this carpark? Seeing as the current Copse Road entrance looks set to be blocked off to Food Store parking, are the club perhaps thinking of making a new entrance from Western Avenue?

we are told that the moneys from this project are to ensure the future of YTFC, does this mean the club would other wise fold? will any of the money be spend on strengthening the squad, or enlarging the stadium which is not needed at present?
